 Wendy LOVELL (Northern Victoria) (14:50): (2463) My constituency question is for the Minister for Roads and Road Safety. Will the minister urgently repair the dangerous potholes on Plenty Road between Arthurs Creek Road and Donnybrook Road? Amanda Dow, the Liberal candidate for Yan Yean, and a constituent have both recently alerted me to this badly damaged and dangerous section of Plenty Road. There are five massive craters along that short stretch, and my constituent tells me that driving along the road has become like playing a game of dodgem cars with vehicles as they swerve around the potholes and try to avoid oncoming traffic. This is a very busy road in peak hours, with high speeds and limited lighting that makes potholes very difficult to see in the dark, and urgent action must be taken to make the road safe. After 12 years of Labor neglect Victoria’s roads have deteriorated into a dangerous condition. Only the Liberals will deliver the $5 billion investment that is needed to properly rebuild and repair our roads.
