Constituency questions

Eastern Victoria Region

Tom McINTOSH (Eastern Victoria) (14:42): (2456) My constituency question is for the Minister for Energy and Resources. Minister, the Latrobe Valley and Gippsland have powered Victoria for 100 years. Constituents across eastern Victoria want to generate electricity going forward and support local jobs. My question to the minister is: how is the government supporting the development of new electricity supply in the Eastern Victoria Region? More electricity means lower prices, but it is only Labor building new electricity generation. Under a One Nation–Liberal alliance, your power bills will go up. They will build nothing. They will do nothing. They have no plan to bring down your power bills, and that is exactly why Victorians cannot trust and cannot support the One Nation–Liberal alliance when it comes to electricity.
