The Legal and Social Issues Committee is a standing committee appointed by the Legislative Council. In the 59th Parliament, members were appointed on the 21 March, 2019.

The report for the Inquiry into the Victorian Government’s COVID‐19 Contact Tracing System and Testing Regime was published out of session on 14 December 2020, as per the resolution of the House on 10 November 2020 - see the report page to download a copy.

COVID-19

The work of Committees at the Parliament of Victoria continues to take place, with staff working remotely in response to COVID-19 measures.

To help limit the spread of COVID-19 Committee hearings that would normally be open to the public are accessible via the Parliament website. 

Some activities relating to Committee inquiries, such as Public Hearings, may be suspended or delayed in response to COVID-19. Report tabling deadlines may also change.
