 Renee HEATH (Eastern Victoria) (12:54): (2567) A constituent of mine is a 30-year-old female who has to get public transport every day from Officer station to go to work. She reached out to me because since the PSOs have been removed from the station in Officer she has noticed a real uptick in the amount of harassment and criminal activity – or what she describes as harassment and criminal activity – she has observed on public transport. She has also been harassed twice herself. My question for the Minister for Police is: can the PSOs be returned as a matter of urgency at Tecoma, Upwey, Officer and Cardinia Road stations? This is important because the latest crime statistics have shown that across Cardinia crimes at train stations have gone up by 43 per cent, and that is not acceptable.
