Mr Mathew Hilakari

Mathew Hilakari

Meet Mathew

Prior to entering Parliament, Mathew was a researcher and writer working for for-purpose organisations to progress policies that would improve Australia and outcomes for Australians.

Prior to this, Mathew worked for a number of State and Commonwealth Members of Parliament.   Mathew sought the support of the community to run for Parliament to improve people's lives. Government has a great deal of power to shape the community, and he wanted to contribute to that in whatever way he could. This is what prompted him to run for Parliament.

The main passions and priorities Mathew has as a member of Parliament are infrastructure improvement, ongoing improvement of public health and education, and a fair society.
