Invitation to Spring Street Beat
This Saturday 21 November Spring Street Beat will showcase the diverse musical talents of young Victorians.
Featuring Gossling, this free Parliament House music event will include artists from across Melbourne and from regional Victoria.
Aboriginal singer/songwriter Kutcha Edwards will commence proceedings with an Acknowledgment of Country at 9:30 am before African Drumming kicks off the beat of Spring Street at 10:00 am.
Two stages will operate throughout the day: one on the iconic front steps of Parliament House and the other in the gardens at the rear of the building.
Musical performances will include pop, hip hop, folk, classical singing and everything in-between.
Spring Street Beat is being held on the 159th anniversary of the opening of the first Victorian Parliament.
There is no better way to celebrate that landmark than to look to the future and hear the voices of young Victorians at Parliament House.
Spring Street Beat will be on Saturday 21 November 2015 from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm and entry is free. It is a drug free and alcohol free event.
