28, 29 September and 3, 4 October
8:30am to 5:30pm
As part of a program of celebrations for the 125th anniversary of the Women's Suffrage Petition, artists Tas Wansbrough and Pauline O'Shannessy-Dowling present a vibrant exhibition of sculptures in Parliament's Queen's Hall.
The PODTASTIC artworks have emerged out of a desire by Pauline and Tas to collaborate and make work on a big, bright and colourful scale.
As practising artists they both know that opportunity, recognition, success and building a sustainable career in the creative arts sector is never straightforward. In keeping with the legacy of the historic Women's Sufferage Petition of 1891, both artists are passionate about furthering equality in respect to recognition and representation for female artists within the Visual Arts sector. This is reflected in their enduring commitment to professional practice, and their participation in leadership within the arts, and wider community.
Both artists firmly believe that life is what you make it … and that art can be whatever we want it to be.
