Container deposit scheme
Jade BENHAM (Mildura) (09:52): Whilst we are talking about regional Victoria being better than the rest of the state, last week I had that great pleasure of visiting the Visy exchange depot, one of the container deposit scheme locations. It is easy to see why Mildura is leading in this area as well, having returned over 4 million containers by mid-January, because the set-up is brilliant, the staff are terrific, and it is easy and fun. Damien contacted me after I spoke about this in this place about how it could be evolved to sporting clubs, community groups and perhaps even schools. He thinks it is a great idea and is hatching a plan to execute it. Thank you for the tour of the Visy exchange depot.
