Conducting Public Hearings
This inquiry will look at the conduct of the 2022 Victorian election. The Committee will consider people's views on how the election was conducted and suggest how things could be improved. Issues to be examined will include enrolling, being a candidate and voting.
March 2023, the Legislative Assembly agreed to the following motion:
this House refers an inquiry into the conduct of the 2022 Victorian state
election to the Electoral Matters Committee for consideration and report
no later than 1 May 2024.
Submissions have now closed. However, if you would still like to make a submission, please contact us for further information.
The Committee is currently conducting a survey of people with disabilities. The Committee wants to learn about their experience at the election, what went well and what could be improved. The survey can be done online or people can download an easy English version. The survey is open until 18 December 2023.
