Northern Victoria Region

Ms SYMES (Northern Victoria—Minister for Regional Development, Minister for Agriculture, Minister for Resources):

I am aware of this matter in my capacity as the Member for Northern Victoria and my electorate office have had ongoing involvement with concerned community members.

Constituency questions provide an opportunity for members of parliament to ask a question to a Minister about a matter within the Minister’s current public responsibilities.

Your question relates to land currently owned by the Department of Education and as such your constituency question should be directed to the Minster for Education, James Merlino. It is not appropriate for me to respond through the parliament in my capacity as the Minister for Regional Development, however I am happy to continue to work with you, Moira Council and the Yarrawonga community as the Member for Northern Victoria.
