Regional students get a parliament experience
The Victorian Parliament is visiting Colac as part of a program to help students in regional Victoria experience how parliament works.
On Wednesday 26 August and Thursday 27 August, more than 250 students will participate in role plays that give them the chance to debate and pass laws, as if they were in parliament.
The growing popularity of the Victorian Parliament’s regional visits program will see six centres visited during 2015.
Mildura will be next on the list on 8 and 9 September, followed by Wodonga on 14 and 15 October.
The program, run by the Tours and Customer Service Unit, has already been to Hamilton, Swan Hill and Bendigo earlier this year.
