Ms D’AMBROSIO (Mill Park—Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change, Minister for Solar Homes):

The Andrews Labor Government has provided a record investment of $700 million from the Sustainability Fund over the last five years.

We have provided $135 million from the Sustainability Fund for waste and resource recovery initiatives alone.

By comparison the former Coalition Government committed only $15 million from the Sustainability Fund in their term of government.

The government will consider the role of waste to energy technologies as an alternative to landfill in Victoria as part of the circular economy policy which will be released in 2020.
