I thank Ms Bath for her question. The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) charge is indexed in line with the consumer price index on 1 July each year.

The annual TAC charge for a regular passenger vehicle within a rural area from 1 July 2018 is $404.80. From 1 July 2019, the annual TAC charge for a regular passenger vehicle will be $413.60.
