The inquiry explored early childhood engagement of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. For the purposes of the inquiry, ‘early childhood’ is from 0 to 8 years old. Early childhood engagement involves programs and services in health, learning, childcare, play groups, family centres, sport and recreation, and local libraries. 

Received from the Legislative Assembly on 28 May 2019:

An inquiry into early childhood engagement of culturally and linguistically diverse communities to the Legal and Social Issues Committee for consideration and report no later than 30 June 2020*.

*The reporting date has been extended to no later than 17 September 2020
