 Nina TAYLOR (Albert Park) (14:31): (25) My question is to the Minister for Climate Action, and I ask how the Victorian government’s renewable energy targets and cost-of-living measures will work to support constituents in Albert Park. Albert Park is known for its commitment to climate action, and I commend the Victorian government, and in particular the Minister for Climate Action, for their nation-leading reform. As the member for Albert Park I am proud to represent such an active and environmentally conscious community that includes local constituents like Linda Condon. Linda and I often speak at length about how hard it has been to keep up with the increasing cost of power bills and her wish to see emissions cut. Minister, it is clear that these updated targets will create thousands of jobs, support the reliability of Victoria’s electricity supply and reduce emissions, but can I ask how these energy targets, alongside the Victorian government’s cost-of-living measures, will work to support local families like Linda’s? I look forward to hearing the minister’s response.
