Heritage Amendment Bill 2023
Introduction and first reading
Sonya KILKENNY (Carrum – Minister for Planning, Minister for Outdoor Recreation) (12:06): I move:
That I introduce a bill for an act to amend the Heritage Act 2017 to provide for exclusion determinations and to make other amendments to improve the operation of the act and for other purposes.

Sonya KILKENNY (Carrum – Minister for Planning, Minister for Outdoor Recreation) (12:07): The Heritage Amendment Bill 2023 will deliver operational improvements to the Heritage Act 2017, including providing for online access to notices and inspection of documents and hearings, allowing applications for exclusion from the Victorian Heritage Register and resolving technical issues to clarify and improve the operation of the Heritage Act.
