 Iwan WALTERS (Greenvale) (13:27): As Victoria’s Djiboutian community marks Djibouti Independence Day on 27 June, I celebrate the growing contribution of Djiboutian Victorians to our multicultural state. I recognise the community’s strong commitment to family, culture and civic life and the service of leaders such as Bachir Mohammed, whose efforts bring people together, strengthen community connections and share Djiboutian culture and traditions with our state. I know how much the community is looking forward to a flag-raising at Federation Square and other celebrations on 27 ‍June, and I wish them a very happy independence day.
