 Emma KEALY (Lowan) (14:44): (880) My constituency question is to the Minister for Roads and Road Safety, and the information I seek is: how many people will have to die at the Eurambeen-Streatham Road and Glenelg Highway intersection before the roundabout is completed? It is so devastating to hear that just last Sunday we lost another local life at this extraordinarily dangerous intersection. This is something that I have been campaigning for since at least 2017. It was back in that time period where flashing lights were installed. We did see in 2020 that the federal and state governments put money towards installing a roundabout. But here we are four years later, the roundabout has not commenced and we have had another fatality. It is very difficult for the local CFA volunteers who have to turn up to these incidents. I am getting letters from them. I ask the minister to support our community to ensure that this roundabout is installed as soon as possible.
