Ovens Valley flood damage
Mr McCURDY: It is now over eight months since Tarrawingee and surrounds were flooded by an extreme storm event. Creeks and property were destroyed by this 1-in-100-year event. Still the Minister for Agriculture will not support these farmers who have lost so much. Regional Victoria is the main artery for Melbourne and yet agriculture continues to be ignored, whether it is drought-affected farmers in East Gippsland or flood-affected farmers in northern Victoria. It is time the minister supported her constituents, who helped her become the Minister for Agriculture.
