We're bringing Parliament to students and teachers in regional Victoria with our regional visits program that provides an engaging way to learn about Parliament.
Regional visits comprise parliament role plays designed for students in years 5, 6, and 7 and VCE. The sessions are conducted in a local hall or facility chosen to provide easy access for the schools that are attending.
Over the past two years we have visited Ararat, Ballarat, Benalla, Inverloch, Macedon, Portland, Sale, Shepparton, Traralgon, Wangaratta and Warrnambool.
In 2018 we will be visiting:
- Geelong - April 18 & 19
- Horsham - May 1 & 2
- Echuca - May 30 & 31
- Hamilton - August 29 & 30
- Lakes Entrance - September 12 &13
- Waragul - October 24 & 25
If you are unable to come to Parliament House for a tour and are interested in attending one of our regional visits give us a call and we will bring Parliament to you!
Each role play lasts approximately 75 minutes.
The maximum number of students for each role play is 30.
The regional visits program is free to all schools. Bookings are essential as places are limited.
