Ovens Valley electorate
Tim McCURDY (Ovens Valley) (14:50): (1590) My question is to the Minister for Water in the other place. The question I ask is on behalf of Andrew Pleming. When will the minister cease sending ‘Dear John’ letters to Mr Pleming that continue to blame him for the erosion that is occurring on the banks of the King River in Wangaratta on Crown land that sits adjacent to Mr Fleming’s property? The erosion is caused by the King River, not because of any contribution by Mr Pleming. This bank needs to be secured and remodelled by the Victorian government through the North East Catchment Management Authority. They cannot just keep telling Mr Pleming that they have no money and that Mr Pleming should invest $100,000 dollars to fix the CMA’s problem.
