Ballarat Central Uniting Church
Juliana ADDISON (Wendouree) (13:08): I also was honoured to attend the Ballarat Central Uniting Church to unveil the new peace pole, one of several now installed across Ballarat. Each peace pole stands as a quiet but powerful reminder of our shared humanity and our universal message: may peace prevail on earth. My heartfelt thanks to Adri Stickland, BCUC chair; Bron James, social justice group convenor; Madonna Quixley, co-convener of Let’s Talk Peace Ballarat; and Reverend Lauleti Tu’inauvai. A peace pole is more than a marker; it is a promise that we will keep building a community where everyone, regardless of background, culture, language or faith, feels safe, respected and valued.
