 Daniela DE MARTINO (Monbulk) (10:08): Welcome back to a new year, Deputy Speaker. Can you believe it is already February? A hearty welcome to the new school year to all the students across the hills and foothills, especially the preppies embarking on the beginning of their 13-year journey through their primary and secondary school system and our year-12s, who are starting their final year. There were several last first-day breakfasts happening across the hills that I was aware of, and I think there was a bit of excitement there. I wish every student much joy, success and learning for the year ahead. And I send all my best to their dedicated teachers and staff at their great schools. Our teachers do an excellent job of encouraging, facilitating and guiding the learning of our future generations. Here is to a great year for them too.
