Minister, the recent crime statistics by the Crime Statistics Agency show that sexual offences against children have almost doubled in the City of Casey, from 107 offences in 2020– 21 to 191 offences from April 2024 to March 2025. I ask: what is being done to address this appalling statistic – that is, to reduce sexual offences against children in the City of Casey and throughout the South-East Metro region, which I represent, and indeed throughout Victoria, while improving reporting and support access?
