 Wendy LOVELL (Northern Victoria) (09:49): Over the past two weekends the CFA and Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria state championships were held in Mooroopna. The championships bring together senior and junior brigades from both urban and rural brigades where firefighting skills are used in competitions that require both skill and speed. These events improve the skills of our volunteers and build the camaraderie between brigades that is beneficial to all on firegrounds. Mooroopna, in district 22, has been the venue for the past six years, and our community has greatly benefited from the economic boost it has brought to our region.
