Western Metropolitan Region
David ETTERSHANK (Western Metropolitan) (13:02): (1415) My question is for the Minister for Roads and Road Safety. A constituent of mine lives in Manor Lakes and spends up to 40 minutes of their daily commute trying to get to the freeway via Ballan, Bolton and Heaths roads. This stretch is one lane in each direction and cannot handle the existing traffic, let alone accommodate the area’s expected growth. The Werribee growth corridor is one of the fastest growing in the country, and the population of Manor Lakes alone is set to double in the next 20 years. As the minister is aware, the west is desperate to be heard and actioned. So my constituent asks: can the minister provide any updates on plans to widen the Ballan, Bolton and Heaths roads corridor between Manor Lakes and Tarneit Road?
