 Ryan BATCHELOR (Southern Metropolitan) (12:49): (1381) My question is for the Minister for Education. I am interested in how the government’s planned maintenance program is supporting schools and students in the Southern Metropolitan Region. The planned maintenance program recently announced 10 schools in southern metropolitan Melbourne will be benefiting from more than $3 million in funding to help improve facilities around the schools and provide safe, modern and high-quality learning environments. This includes Beaumaris North Primary School, which has been allocated more than $200,000 to increase accessibility in the school. Brighton Secondary College has been allocated more than $600,000 to help improve facilities at the school. This is all part of the Labor government’s $110 million investment in the last budget to improve our school infrastructure, ensuring that all students have access to the best possible learning environments.
