Rulings from the Chair

Production of documents

Rulings from the Chair

Production of documents

The PRESIDENT (12:48): Before we go to constituency questions, Mr Davis moved a point of order yesterday around production of documents time in relation to the Commonwealth Games documents, I believe. At the time I did not think it was a point of order, and I stand by that on reviewing it. The obvious advice for Mr Davis, who would know as well as me, if not better, is that he has got recourse via a substantive motion. I understand he has got a substantive motion on that today, so hopefully that will acquit that. The look on your face says it does not, but you can talk to me later or bring another point of order.

David Davis interjected.

The PRESIDENT: There was no breach in the standing orders. A point of order is a breach in the standing orders and there was no breach, but you know that you have recourse and are going to do it today.
