Fire and storm events
Joe McCRACKEN (Western Victoria) (13:34): I would firstly like to acknowledge all the first responders that have responded to a number of different crises over the last week – the fires particularly in Pomonal, which is in my electorate, where we have had a number of properties lost and a lot of lives significantly impacted – and the first responders who were also in that situation with the storms and power outages. We can talk SES and we can talk CFA, but there are many, many volunteers that have supported the community, and that needs to be acknowledged and indeed applauded.
