Mr FINN (Western Metropolitan) (12:45): (1964) My constituency question is to the Minister for Disability, Ageing and Carers. Last week I visited the Braybrook and Maidstone Neighbourhood House. I was greatly impressed with the array of services provided to locals, many of whom are very much in the needy category. What particularly impressed me was the way the neighbourhood house distributed fresh fruit and vegetables to locals. It even has a freezer full of precooked meals. By any standard it is a vital part of the Braybrook and Maidstone communities. Speaking to the manager, Viviene, and president, Pauline, I was deeply disturbed to learn of the severe impact cuts in funding would have on their services for those who most desperately need them. Minister, will you guarantee the necessary funding to allow the Braybrook and Maidstone Neighbourhood House to continue its very important work in its communities?
