Remembrance Day
Anthony CARBINES (Ivanhoe – Minister for Police, Minister for Community Safety, Minister for Victims, Minister for Racing) (13:11): Firstly, can I just acknowledge my local community in relation to Remembrance Day, in particular at the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital, where we had our service yesterday. Rob Winther OAM, the veterans liaison officer, hosted that. I understand it was a very well attended event, as it usually is. The hospital has operated since 1941, and the repat remembrance garden is a very central place where we gather for remembrance of the fallen in my electorate. I also acknowledge the Cherry Street memorial service, which was held over the weekend in the lead-up to Remembrance Day. Lest we forget.
