Luba GRIGOROVITCH (Kororoit) (14:55): (1366) My question is to the Minister for Community Sport. What support is available for Brimbank City Council to improve facilities for Balmoral Football Club in Derrimut so that this growing multicultural club can continue to thrive and provide opportunities for men, women and young people in the west? Balmoral Football Club is a proud Bosnian community club that has been part of the Brimbank community for more than 30 years. Over that time it has grown into a diverse and inclusive club, with over 300 players, 500 members and more than 20 teams across both juniors and seniors. The club has made significant progress in promoting women’s participation in sport, growing from just a handful of female players in 2023 to three girls-only junior teams and a senior women’s side now in 2025. It has also worked hard to keep football accessible for families from low socio-economic backgrounds. Despite these achievements the club’s progress is being held back by inadequate facilities. The club has ambitions to compete in higher leagues and is set to host the 2026 Australian Bosnian Cup.
