Lions Club of Eildon
Cindy McLEISH (Eildon) (09:47): It was a big milestone for the Eildon Lions club and club president Kevin, celebrating 50 years and ringing in the occasion with a club dinner. Over the 50 years 183 members have joined the club, which is a big achievement for a small town. The club has had an important role in the community, with key projects including the Big River camp, the Eildon Lions leisure park and the Dams Museum. Founding member Syd Savage has been a member for the entire 50 years, and his wife Chris has been on the journey for that time but has only been able to be a member for 26 years.
