Seymour Alternative Farming Expo
Annabelle CLEELAND (Euroa) (09:49): I rise today ahead of the Seymour expo, taking place from 31 March to 2 April at Kings Park. Seymour has been incredibly resilient over the past six months. The October floods had a significant impact on the community, so it is inspiring to see the town open its gates to tourism again. The location of Kings Park was underwater in October. Everyone involved has done a sensational job getting the precinct back open and up and running. I will be manning my marquee and having a helping hand from the members for Shepparton, Murray Plains and Ovens Valley as well as the federal member for Nicholls, so it is a lovely opportunity to come and say hi to us and have a chat or a vent.
The expo is the biggest weekend of the year for the community. After last year’s devastating floods the town cannot wait to welcome everyone back for what I know will be a bumper expo. Even if it is just a day trip, get to Seymour, grab a coffee at one of the amazing cafes, browse the main streets, spend some time at the expo and finish the day with a meal or drink in town.
