Narre Warren North electorate multicultural communities
Belinda WILSON (Narre Warren North) (10:01): Our electorate has an incredible multicultural community, and it is a privilege to represent so many diverse cultures in Parliament. I want to give a particular shout-out to a few amazing multicultural groups in my community, including the Afghan Women’s Organisation Victoria, the Multicultural Youth Support Services, the Hallam mosque, the Bakhtar Community Organisation, the Xinjiang seniors group, the Afghan–Australia Philanthropic Association and everyone at the Vaishnav Sangh in Hallam. Thank you for the work you do in supporting our local multicultural community. You make our community a better place. I would like to encourage all multicultural groups in my electorate to apply for the multicultural festivals and events grants program, which closes on 3 April.
