Tarneit electorate
Dylan WIGHT (Tarneit) (14:39): (45) My question is to the Minister for Energy and Resources, Minster for Climate Action and Minister for the State Electricity Commission. Minister, how many households in my electorate of Tarneit have taken advantage of the current power saving bonus program? Australia’s cost of living has substantially risen since the start of Russia’s war in the Ukraine. To alleviate some of the burden on families, we are working closely with the Commonwealth government to deliver this to Victorian households and businesses as soon as possible and will be delivering another round of the $250 power saving bonus next month. We are also focused on the long term by reducing our reliance on costly fossil fuels. That is why we are bringing back the State Electricity Commission and replacing unreliable, privatised coal with clean Victorian-owned renewable energy.
