Ms STALEY (Ripon) (14:38): (6456) My question is to the Minister for Health. I ask: will she reconsider the decision by her predecessor to not fund stage 1 of the redevelopment of St Arnaud hospital? The St Arnaud hospital is in desperate need of a redevelopment. That is why the Liberals and Nationals have committed $30 million to doing that if we come to government. Ideally the government would also support this worthy project, yet the last time they were invited to put their proposal forward—the government said, ‘Put this forward’—they did not fund it. We have a new health minister. She has got her training wheels on, and perhaps she could review the flawed decision of her predecessor and actually fund this really needed health upgrade. The people of St Arnaud deserve a quality health service building. They do not have it at the moment. We will give it to them.
