Legislative Council Petition: #811 | closes 22 January 2027

Petition Tougher laws and punishments for crimes

nisamallawaa@gmail.com started this petition

The petition of certain citizens of the State of Victoria draws to the attention of the Legislative Council the fear the petitioners have for kids futures in our country. There have been reported stabbing cases in high schools, stolen cars and household items, and shops and family members getting attacked by young teenagers. It is a parents job to see where the kids go, who are their friends and what are they doing. Why has Victoria become like this?

Rules need to change. They cannot be pardoned for something that they have done. If they get bail they will do the same again and again. Rules must change now. They have to face the consequences now. Enough is enough.

The petitioners therefore request that the Legislative Council call on the Government to introduce tougher laws and punishments for teenagers and adults who commit crimes.
