Petition Reduce rates and taxes

The petition of certain citizens of the State of Victoria draws to the attention of the Legislative Council that Victorians, especially farmers, cannot afford to meet the current rates, prices and taxes. People should not have to wake up every morning wondering for how long they will be able to afford to keep their houses.

The petitioners therefore request that the Legislative Council call on the Government to reduce rates and taxes in Victoria so that it is fairer on the society and farmers.
