Legislative Assembly Petition: #202542 | closes 15 June 2026

Issue:

This petition of residents in Victoria draws to the attention of the Legislative Assembly the plans of the Education Department to remove two portables from Wodonga Primary School in January 2026, prior to the commencement of the next school year. These portables form four fulltime classrooms and are vital to school operations. The portables are required and necessary as a key part of school infrastructure to provide adequate accommodation and acceptable student teacher ratios. Their removal would have a significant negative impact upon school functionality, efficiency and effectiveness and be very detrimental to students and staff.

Action:

The petitioners therefore request that the Legislative Assembly calls on the Government to ensure that the two portables at Wodonga Primary School are not removed.
