Petition Move proposed waste-to-energy incinerator in Wollert

microfund88@126.com started this petition

The petition of certain citizens of the State of Victoria draws to the attention of the Legislative Council that the proposed waste-to-energy incinerator in Wollert is too close to the residential zone and that the poisonous emissions will affect the health of residents especially the children and the elderly.

With updated technologies, incinerators can have zero emissions under constant monitoring, such as the Japanese ones.

The petitioners therefore request that the Legislative Council call on the Government to move the location of the proposed waste-to-energy incinerator in Wollert to 20 kilometers away from the residential zone or utilise updated technologies to set up a zero emissions incinerator.
