Petition Establish a Government Public Litigation Register

srazek0@gmail.com started this petition

The petition of certain citizens of the State of Victoria draws to the attention of the Legislative Council the need to establish a Government Public Litigation Register. The register should include the government department, agency or statutory authority involved in the proceeding, the court or tribunal in which the matter is being heard, the case name and matter type, the date proceedings commenced, whether the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office is acting on behalf of the government entity, the current status or outcome of the proceeding, links to publicly available judgments, decisions or orders and the cost to the tax payer.

The petitioners therefore request that the Legislative Council call on the Government to establish a Government Public Litigation Register.
