Terms of reference
The terms of reference are instructions which explain what a committee has been asked to do, what topics it should focus on, and how its members will work together to achieve its shared goals.
The Parliamentary Crime Prevention Committee shall inquire into, consider and report to the Parliament on the 1992/1993 Victoria Police Annual Report and in particular the cited increase in Rape and Sexual Assault, and shall:
1. Analyse the levels of rape and sexual assault as cited in the 1992/1993 Victoria Police Annual Report.
2. Examine the causal factors of the increase in the level of rape and sexual assault as cited in the 1992/1993 Victoria Police Annual Report.
3. Report on initiatives to reduce the level of rape and sexual assault as cited in the 1992/1993 Victoria Police Annual Report.
