Open Days

Parliament House Open Day is an opportunity for all Victorians and visitors to the State to see inside the historic Parliament House, one of Melbourne's best-known land marks and the home of the Parliament of Victoria.

Visitors can go on a self guided tour through the building, followed by a stroll through the magnificent parliamentary gardens. Entry is free.

Open day is an annual event that offers visitors the chance to explore areas of Parliament not usually open to the public. You can sit the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council Chamber, visit the Parliamentary Library and enjoy morning or afternoon tea in the Members' Dining Room. As you wander through this historic building, members and staff of the Parliament will be on hand to answer your questions.

Open day was last held on Sunday 25 March 2012. The next open day will be in 2013. In the meantime, you can go on a virtual tour of Parliament, go on a public tour, or watch the live broadcast of Parliament on sitting days.

Open day is part of the Parliament’s community engagement program.
