George Tuckett MLC was first appointed a member of the Committee, in succession to the late Alexander Bell, on 12th May, 1931, and again after re-election as a member of the Legislative Council on 16th June, 1931
A. E. Lind, the representative of this district in the Legislative Assembly, and M. McGregor, one of the Legislative Council representatives, were under the Railways Standing Committee Act debarred from the consideration of railway lines and works within their electoral districts, and did not take part in the deliberations of the Committee upon this non-paying line
