Ways to continue to advocate

• Find your local member - Reach out to your local member of parliament to discuss issues that matter to you. 
• Create a petition - Petitions are a good way to highlight issues that you care about and demonstrate the community's commitment to the cause. The petitions page on the parliament website has more information on how to start and/or sign a petition to parliament
• Make a submission to a committee inquiry - Committees investigate a range of issues. Part of the inquiry process is inviting submissions from the community on the issue under investigation.

These posters include more details on how to get involved in parliament process, such as contacting MPs, petitions, committee inquiries. A spotlight on the environment

We've partnered with Zoos Victoria to showcase some of the ways everyone can be involved in supporting and advocating for the environment. Regardless of the issue you are passionate about, there are many organisations and opportunities that can help have your voice heard. These are just some of the options available in the environmental space.

Join a Community Conservation Campaign 

Campaigns are organised efforts to create change. By joining or starting a campaign, you can raise awareness and encourage others to take-action on important conservation issues. 

These are two examples of community conservation campaigns where people are encouraged to be active citizens for a conservation issue.

Citizen science is when people help scientists collect information for their research. By joining one of these citizen science projects, you can help wildlife and learn more about conservation.
