Victoria Police does not close stations. Police keep deploying from them 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Decisions about the deployment of police resources are strictly a matter for the Chief Commissioner, not politicians.

Keeping Victorians safe means getting our best police out from behind the counter and into the community preventing crime.

That’s why the Carroll Labor Government is recruiting 400 police reservists, to keep station counters open and put more frontline police back on the beat.

The real risk to community safety is Jess Wilson’s Liberal-One Nation Coalition.

We all know that you can’t cut $40 billion from the budget without cutting the police and PSOs who keep us safe.
