NICK MCGOWAN — To ask the Minister for Skills and TAFE (for the Minister for Environment): 

In relation to a proposed floating boom in Victoria Harbour for the purpose of reducing litter, raised by Docklands harbour representative Harvey Cleggett, and considering its established cost savings (less than $30,000 to install), litter reduction efficacy, and the increasing need and interest in a solution due to 18 high-rises marked for completion in the surrounding area in the next four to five years:

(1)  Was this proposal rejected by Parks Victoria following multiple meetings with Mr Cleggett.

(2)  Why was this proposal rejected.
