Question on Notice
With reference to the pedestrian underpass as part of the Kosciuszko Street and Bank Street improvement works in Traralgon, the design for which was anticipated to be finalised by late 2024:
(1) Has the design for the pedestrian underpass been finalised and approved.
(2) What has caused the delay in approving the plans.
(3) When will construction commence on the pedestrian underpass to provide a safer way for pedestrians to cross the rail line.
I thank the Member for Morwell for his question.
The Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) have advised that work is ongoing to prepare for construction of safer pedestrian access and connectivity across the railway linking Kosciuszko Street and the Princes Highway intersection with Bank Street.
Once this work is complete, construction timeframes will be provided.
