Victoria Police provides a 24-hour police response, 7 days a week to all Victorians. The community can be assured that police will be where they are needed most, when they are needed most.

The location and deployment of police officers is a matter for the Chief Commissioner of Police. The deployment of police resources is determined by evidence, policing experts, and operational needs.

Your constituents can also be assured that when the reception counter is not open, it does not mean policing has stopped. It means that police are out patrolling the community and keeping the community safe. Front counter assistance is available 24-7 at Morwell, Traralgon or Moe.

Please encourage your constituents to report any immediate safety concerns to Victoria Police through the emergency number ‘000’. Calls made to ‘000’ are processed and responded to by the nearest available police personnel. Non-urgent matters can be reported through the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.
